Dr. Joshua Costello, DC, DACNB

Chiropractor, Functional Neurologist, Clinic Director

Joshua Costello was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri by his parents along with his 6 brothers. After graduating high school, he received a degree in jazz performance from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent his time following Webster University teaching drum lessons and working as a musician. He was the drummer at his local church for years and happened to meet a fellow drummer who was also a chiropractor. They became fast friends and discussed all things music and chiropractic. This led him to chiropractic schooling. He attended and graduated in 2011 from Logan College of chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri.

Immediately following chiropractic college, he and his wife moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Fairbanks, Alaska where he worked in an integrative medical setting with chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, counselors, massage therapists and acupuncturists. After working with them for a few years, he decided to open his own practice in 2014 and his wife (a physical therapist) joined him there shortly after.

His passion has always been with functional neurology, so he became board certified through the Carrick Institute in 2019. The practice he started continues to serve the Fairbanks community, and he couldn’t be more thankful for the Fairbank’s communities support over the years.

Dr. Daniel Costello, DC

Chiropractor, Associate

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Dan Costello received his first degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with an emphasis in Disability Studies from Truman State University. His chiropractic education was completed at Logan University, and he has been practicing in Fairbanks since. He is currently in post-graduate training to become nationally board certified in functional neurology. Dr. Costello treats individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly.

There is a primary care focus to his practice, as he often co-manages with other health care providers to ensure comprehensive supervision of every person under his care. He specializes in integrative rehabilitation and management of conditions involving the musculoskeletal and nervous system. Dr. Costello uses integrative neurological and physical examinations to help diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions of the entire body. He particularly enjoys treating patients that have been everywhere, tried everything, and are still dealing with symptoms that other providers have been unable to fully resolve.

Dr. Costello has a particular passion for educating individuals about health. It is his philosophy that if we are taught the right tools to stay healthy, our need for seeing doctors and consuming healthcare is less. This is done primarily through education, which is the primary focus of his practice. Each patient under his care has their own specialized Home Exercise Program, tailored to resolving issues found during physical/neurological exams, patient symptoms, and most importantly, individual goals of the patient.
